Product Details

The Alitherm series of windows offer a range of high quality glazing solutions for side hung, top hung open out and parallel opening casements, suitable for both the residential and commercial markets.

This versatile range of profiles can provide many solutions such as traditional casement windows inspired by the elegance and styling of timber products, or automatic parallel opening commercial windows designed to provide a balanced airflow in multi-storey commercial buildings.

All Alitherm profiles utilise Smart's innovative polyamide thermal break technology which creates a barrier between the cold air outside and the warm air inside. This technology significantly reduces thermal transmittance and enhances the overall U Value of a product.

Alitherm products are available in a choice of standard or non-standard colours, including metallic, dual colour and Smart's unique Sensations range of textured finishes.

The series features the Alitherm 600, Alitherm 700 and Alitherm 800 windows, designed to meet the exacting requirements of Document L 2010.

Shootbolt Locks

Product Details

  • Ultra slim off-set gear box design, ideal for fitting into slim glazing up stands.
  • Face mounts onto flat profiles, no need for euro groove.
  • Stainless steel construction for ultimate corrosion resistance.
  • Fast fit telescopic design which reduces fabrication time, no need for cropping.
  • High security accredited.
  • Supplied as a kit, complete with keeps.
  • Off-set handle extension kit for fabrication of windows with the handle off-set from the centre of the sash.
  • 10 year corrosion and mechanical guarantee.

The Mustang shoot bolt with its ultra slim off-set gear box is ideal for face mounting on flat profiles. With the gear box fitting up into the glazing leg, only a 6.5mm wide cavity is required, allowing it to fit on to profiles with the slimmest of sightlines. This makes it the ideal choice for aluminium systems. The slim line shoot bolt is largely stainless steel in construction to meet ever increasing requirements.

Only five sizes required to fabricate sashes from 350mm to 1400mm with an extension bar available to achieve an even larger sizes or off-set handle positions.

Testing and Accreditation

  • UKAS laboratory tested to BS EN 1670 and has exceeded grade 4 classification. Tested to 30,000 cycles under operational load.
  • Has attained BS7950 across a range of systems. Has Secured by Design accreditation.

Off-Set Extension Bar

A single extension bar will increase any shoot bolt extension by a maximum off 450mm (Extra intermediate transmission guides will be required).

Shootbolt Locking Handles

Product Details

The Bombardier In-line handle is superlatively engineered with a sense of elegance and imagination.

Designed with a distinctive ergonomic grip, the Bombardier In-line has a large modish button that provides a positive position for ease of operation and additional safety.

The handle, which latches automatically on closing, may be released by simply depressing the button. The handle may be deadlocked for additional security.

The Bombardier In-line is a contemporary innovative design of proven quality with a positive action compatible with a wide range of operating mechanisms.

The In-line is designed to operate with any 7/8mm drive espagnolette or shootbolt hardware.

  • To meet the ever increasing demand for larger windows the EDTH24 is available for large heavy top hung vents.

Note: As with all types of friction hinges, friction cannot be provided until the slider moves, therefore when limiting the opening of top hung vents to angles of 10° or less, a separate device will be required to prevent the window from closing.

When fitting the EDTH24 and its variants, pull in blocks/locking wedges/ snubbers must be fitted 100mm from each corner and then across the top as required to aid weather sealing.
